Welcome to the MOMS Club® of Pasadena-North, California website!

We are a local chapter of the International MOMS (Moms Offering Moms Support) Club®, a non-profit organization for moms who have decided to stay at home with their children.

International MOMS Club® has more than 2,000 chapters with more than 100,000 members. Our chapter includes a diverse group of moms from a variety of backgrounds. Some moms in our chapter have already chosen motherhood as their career. Others left a different career to become full-time moms or are managing part-time professions so they can be at home with their children.

We offer many activities and events when stay at home moms need them the most....during the day! Together we strive to enrich our lives, the lives of our children and the communities we live in by sharing our experiences and pooling our resources.

ACTIVITIES

Our weekly and monthly activities include:

Age-based, weekly playgroups
Monthly All-Member Meetings (including guest speakers and professionals from various child related industries)
Field trips to local venues
Monthly All-Member Park Days (with our sister Chapter in Pasadena, South of the 210 Freeway)
Mom's Night Out (movies, dinners, bowling, karaoke, etc.)
Holiday Parties for the entire family
Management/Board Meetings

We are also a volunteer-based organization dedicated to supporting MOMS Club members and the broader local community through:

Mom Meal Support (Homemade meals for mothers with newborns or during illness)
Monthly newsletters
E-mail updates on local activities
Community Service Projects

3rd Annual Preschool Fair 2012

10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

at Maranatha in the Main Community Building

Trying to select a preschool can be an overwhelming task for parents! What are the different teaching methods and philosophies? Which style is right for your child? How and when do you apply to schools?

The MOMS Club of Pasadena-North and their sister chapter, MOMS Club of Pasadena, will once again host their Annual Preschool Fair where parents and schools can come together to gather and provide information about the local preschools serving our area. The Preschool Fair is open to everyone in Pasadena and the surrounding communities and will include schools from Altadena, Pasadena, South Pasadena, La Canada-Flintridge, Sierra Madre, San Marino, San Gabriel and Eagle Rock.

Our inaugural Preschool Fair in January 2010 was a huge success! The event drew more than 600 attendees and had 39 schools presenting. This year's fair is shaping up to be even more exciting with an expected attendance of over 1,000 people! We have also received media coverage and sponsorship by the Pasadena Outlook recognizing our efforts to serve Pasadena families with information regarding early education options.

Each family in attendance will receive a free Preschool Fair Program that includes descriptions of all participating schools and a list of our generous sponsors. To download last year's preschool fair packet, please click on the link below:

Each year MOMS Club chapters support at least one child-related charity or project selected by its members to support in the Pasadena community. In addition to the charities we support each year, we also support the Mother-to-Mother Fund started by MOMS Club International, which was designed to help club members in dire need. Funds from this account might help a mother who is suffering from illness and requires childcare, has lost her home to a fire, or has lost her spouse.

Community Service Projects

The child-related charities and community service projects for 2011 are as follows:

Elizabeth House: Elizabeth House is a shelter for homeless pregnant women and their children dedicated to changing lives one family at a time. Located in Pasadena, California, Elizabeth House provides a safe home, support and hope for women who find themselves pregnant and in a time of crisis.

Five Acres: Five Acres, The Boys' and Girls' Aid Society of Los Angeles County, is a child and family services agency that strengthens families and prevents child abuse through treatment and education in community based and residential programs. Originally founded as an orphanage in 1888, today Five Acres offers an array of services, including residential care and educational services, mental heath services in homes and schools, foster care and adoptions and domestic violence prevention.

All Member Meetings (AMM)

Below is a list of our upcoming All Member Meetings. These meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of every month and are open to guests, including moms interested in joining our chapter:

Become a Member

If you are interested in joining, you are invited to attend our All-Member Meeting, held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month (Kids are always welcome, of course!).

However, if you are excited to get started in the group, you are welcome to submit your paperwork immediately. We know being an at-home mother today means making a financial sacrifice, so dues to our local chapter are only $30 per year.

Playgroups

Our playgroups meet once a week on a rotating basis at each member's home or location of the hostess's choosing (park, indoor playground, etc.). Playgroup members may choose the day/time of their playgroup meeting for their convenience.

Playgroups are organized by age and are subject to change based on the number of moms currently attending each group. Below is our most current list of playgroups:
